An engineer for the fire department has the responsibilities of driving, maintaining and operating the pumps of engines. Countless hours of studying and training are needed to effectively perform all the duties of an engineer. Most fire departments have a library of information, and offer classes to teach individuals the basics of driving and pumping. However, one of the most effective teaching assets is another engineer, or "water buddy." This app was created as a reference for an engineer or aspiring engineers. It is not a replacement for studying and training. The hydraulics provided in this app were made for the hose lines and nozzles used by the Los Angeles Fire Dept.
